2 Ki 7-8; Ecc 10
This week, we have read a lot of stories about surrendering to God and watching Him work in our lives. I think with all the amazing things that God does–daily loading us with benefits–we sometimes get to the point where his blessings are not a big deal.
People just become… annoyances.
Life gets boring.
There’s no purpose.
There’s no passion or heart.
But look at a man like Elisha and you’ll see a man who served God for a long time without ever losing his sensitivity to God. In the middle of a time when he could have been apathetic and cynical, he expresses his heart for God and His people in 8:11-12.
I thought Elisha’s tenderness was touching.
How has God touched you recently?
